The Salvimar Metal Speargun is a high-performance speargun designed with advanced components and technology derived from Salvimar’s flagship HERO series.
At the heart of the Metal is an innovative trigger mechanism produced using moulding technology rather than conventional laser or CNC machining. This allows Salvimar to use specially selected materials and achieve excellent strength, reliability and precision.
The shaft-release area incorporates a cylindrical roller bearing, helping to reduce friction between the metal components, minimise long-term wear and provide a smooth trigger pull. The system is engineered to remain responsive even under very high loads, with testing up to approximately 350kg.
The trigger mechanism also features a micro-adjustment screw, allowing the sensitivity of the trigger to be fine-tuned according to the user’s preference.
The removable loading support gives the diver the option of a cleaner and less restricted handle setup when desired.
Depending on the speargun length, the Metal is equipped with a Ø6.5mm shaft. The shark-fin tabs are laser-welded to the shaft, helping to minimise excessive local hardening and reduce the risk of weakening or breakage around the welded area.
Laser welding also provides a smooth, clean finish around the shark fins, reducing the possibility of damage to the wishbone cord. The shark-fin tabs themselves are moulded, allowing smooth edges and geometry that help minimise friction against the wishbone.
